The Great Holiday Adventure (Part Three)

WC and I considered the act of finding huevos rancheros for breakfast but decided instead to partake of the simple, but adequate continental cuisine offered at the Gage Hotel before we pulled out again onto the winding ribbon of asphalt.  Before turning south toward the Big Bend region we stopped at a highway intersection to fill the tru(..)

The Great Holiday Adventure (Part One)

Yep, more traveling.  We left Llano at dawn and drove through the lower
hill country.  Simply gorgeous terrain with the mix of fall and early winter colors, cattle grazing, sheep and goats dotting pastures, hunters in camo-clothing walking fence lines.  We arrived in Del Rio about noon with plans to cross over to Acuna, Me(..)
